When it comes to voting, the County Registrar of Voters encourages you not to wait in line or sit on the sidelines- giving you more time to educate yourself about the issues and candidates that matter.
It's easy to check your voter affiliation online, anytime.
If you are a mail-in voter, you can check when your ballot is received by the Registrar's office using this same online tool.
Click here to see how your party affiliation affects your ballot.
You can now become a Permanent Absentee Voter by filling out and returning a simple form right here. A mail-in ballot will automatically be sent to you for future elections.
And if you would like to really get involved by volunteering as a poll worker you can do that through the County as well. Poll workers earn between $75-$165 dollars for their service on each Election Day in helping their fellow citizens vote.
Become a part of the County's "Mission: Possible" initiative to recruit more than 18,000 poll workers this year by e-mailing pollworker@sdcounty.ca.gov or calling (858) 565-5800. (For more information about becoming a poll worker, click here.)
Even more information can be found by visiting pages throughout the Registrar of Voters Web site, but here are a few links citizens often find particularly helpful:
Find Your Elected Representatives and Districts
Find Your Polling Place
For more information, contact the Registrar of Voters at (858) 565-5800, or visit the Registrar’s Web site at www.sdvote.com.
We hope you will get involved in this historic election year.
