Where can you find a '53 Ford pickup, a saxophone, and an X-Box all for sale in one spot? The Health and Human Services Agency, Public Administrator/Public Guardian's auction on Saturday, January 17.
Hundreds of items will be up for bid at the County Operations Annex at 5201-A Ruffin Road in Kearny Mesa (Google Map).
Registration and viewing of auction items begins at 8:00 a.m. Automobiles will be the first items on the block with bidding beginning promptly at 8:30 a.m. Customers are required to both pay for and pick up the auction property by 2:00 p.m. that day.
Pictures of some of the items for sale are available on the PA/PG Web site. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the estates administered by the County.
PA/PG investigates and administers the estates of persons who die with no will or without an appropriate person willing or able to act as an administrator. The County manages the affairs of 300-400 estates at any given time. PA/PG also investigates conservatorship matters and serves as the legally appointed guardian for elderly and disabled persons found by the Court to be unable to manage their own assets and personal care.
