The County Library is partnering with the Housing Opportunities Collaborative to provide free counseling to the public at a series of events, called the Homeowners Mobile Education (HOME) clinics.
The first one is on Saturday, January 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Encinitas branch of the County Library at 450 Cornish Drive.
“Our libraries not only provide books and materials about foreclosures and finances, we serve as a gathering place where we can partner with other agencies and provide hands-on support to our customers,” said Library Director, Jose Aponte.
The clinics will bring together legal experts, real estate and mortgage professionals and housing agencies to provide counseling to the public. People can schedule an appointment for a one-on-one meeting with an attorney at the event, as well as attend educational sessions on credit management, mortgage loans, bankruptcy and consumer protection.
