May 27, 2008
Today is the last day to request a mail ballot for the June 3 election. By state law, applications must be physically received by the Registrar of Voters no later than 5 p.m.; they cannot simply be postmarked May 27.
Those who want to vote by mail must complete the form available here (PDF). The form is also available on the back of the sample ballot and information pamphlet sent to each registered voter.
Those who miss today's deadline can vote in person.
County of San Diego Registrar of Voters Deborah Seiler wants those who plan to vote in the June 3 Direct Primary to be aware that the May 19 deadline to register to vote, change party affiliation or note name or address changes has already passed.
