Almost 15 percent of people who sign up to be poll workers drop out before Election Day. On-call workers would be ready to fill a vacant position if needed and would be paid up to $150.
On-call poll workers must:
- Be registered to vote
- Attend a four-hour training class
- Have their own vehicle
- Be willing to travel to communities throughout the county
To learn more, call (858) 565-5800, or send an e-mail to pollworker@sdcounty.ca.gov.
