Ten houses, condominiums, and undeveloped lots will be up for bid during the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency’s real estate auction on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 3:00 p.m.
The event will take place at the County Operations Annex in Kearny Mesa, 5201 Ruffin Road, Suite A, San Diego. An open house is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m.-2:00 p.m. for potential bidders to view the properties. Additional information including terms of sale and pictures of the properties up for auction are available on the Public Administrator/Public Guardian (PA/PG) Web site.
“We sell real estate to maximize the assets of estates for the individuals we serve and the County is appointed to manage,” said Lori Bays, the County’s Public Administrator. “Proceeds from the auction will benefit the estates of the individuals administered by the County and pay for the living expenses of conservatees in the care of the County.”
Properties sold at these real estate auctions may include vacant and occupied single family dwellings, condominiums, apartments, commercial properties, vacant lots, trust deeds, etc.
PA/PG investigates and administers the estates of persons who die with no will or without an appropriate person willing or able to act as an administrator. PA/PG manages the affairs of 300-400 estates at any given time.
PA/PG also investigates conservatorship matters and serves as the legally appointed guardian for elderly and disabled persons found by the Court to be unable to manage their own assets and personal care.
