An easy online tool is available at www.sdvote.com to help voters check registration information through the County of San Diego Registrar of Voters.
“We are expecting a large turnout in the November 4 election, and we want to make sure voters have verified their registration information to make sure Election Day goes smoothly for everyone,” said Registrar Deborah Seiler.
The tool is available in English, Filipino, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
It can also be used by those who vote by mail to find out when their ballots are received by the Registrar’s office. In addition, voters can access their sample ballot online.
To change registration information, voters can fill out a form available at www.sdvote.com, the Registrar of Voters office, all U.S. Post Offices, public libraries, and the Department of Motor Vehicles offices. All forms must be postmarked or delivered to the Registrar of Voters no later than midnight on October 20, 2008.
Voters should also be aware that unlike the Direct Primary Election in June, voters in this election will be able to cast their ballots for candidates of any political party.
For more information about the election, visit www.sdvote.com or call (858) 565-5800.
