County of San Diego Registrar of Voters Deborah Seiler wants those who plan to vote in the Presidential General Election on November 4 to be aware the deadline to apply for a mail ballot is Tuesday, October 28.
Those who want to vote by mail must complete an application form. The form is also available on the back of the sample ballot and voter information pamphlet sent to each registered voter. In addition, voters can send a note to the Registrar of Voters including their name, residence address, name and date of the election for which a ballot is requested, the address where the ballot is to be mailed and the voter’s signature. Send forms and notes by:
o Mail to Registrar of Voters, P.O. Box 85520, San Diego, CA 92186-5520
o Fax to (858) 694-2955
o By state law, applications must be physically received by the Registrar of Voters no later than 5 p.m., Tuesday, October 28. They cannot be simply postmarked on that date.
To make voting more convenient, the Registrar’s office will be open Saturday, November 1 and Sunday, November 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for voters who want to cast their ballots or drop them off prior to Election Day.
For more information about these important deadlines or the Presidential General Election on November 4, contact the Registrar of Voters at (858) 565-5800 or visit www.sdvote.com.
