San Diego County property owners who want to appeal their 2008-2009 property tax assessments have until Dec. 1 to do so.
Applications must be received by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors Office in the County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, Room 402, San Diego, 92101, no later than 5 p.m. on Dec. 1 -- or be postmarked no later than midnight on that date.
Applications are available online and in person along with information booklets and staff assistance at the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors and Assessor’s Offices.
Additional assistance is available from an informational video that airs on the County Television Network, or CTN. The video can be seen online or viewed periodically on the following cable channels: Cox 19 (North) or 24 (South) and Time Warner 22 or Time Warner Digital 124.
To file an application, taxpayers should know their parcel number or tax bill number, property address and must state on the application their opinion of the property’s market value.
