Residents had a chance to hear County law enforcement leaders talk about judicial reform and corrections issues at a recent town hall meeting.
The forum at St. Stephen's Cathedral was organized by the United African American Ministerial Action Council (UAMMAC). Topics included a state budget proposal to release thousands of prisoners back into the local corrections system and its impact on the community.
Featured speakers included Mack Jenkins, San Diego County Chief Probation Officer; David Greenberg, San Diego County District Attorney’s Office Deputy Chief; the Honorable Judge David Danielson, criminal supervising judge in San Diego County; and Robert Robinson, UAMMAC director of resource development.
The theme of the event was “accountability, responsibility and rehabilitation through the judicial system.”
