The County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation wants to notify visitors to leave the alcohol at home when visiting Hilton Head and Steele Canyon County Parks. The new year-round alcohol-free regulations at Hilton Head and Steele Canyon Parks will ensure that children and families will have an enjoyable time.
Possession of alcohol beverages will not be allowed in the parks and the alcohol-free ordinance will take effect immediately. The permanent ban extends to the entire park and Sheriff’s deputies will issue citations to those who attempt to violate the alcohol ban. Signs will be posted to reflect the new alcohol restrictions.
