Are you ready to rock? It doesn’t matter if your band plays at parties, dances, or in your garage, the Fallbrook Battle of the Bands is looking for you. The youth competition will be held on Saturday, March 26 and is open to all bands with members between the ages of 13 and 19.
If selected, your band will set up, perform and battle it out for trophies, prizes, bragging rights and a $100 cash award from the Friends of the Fallbrook Community Center.
This year’s Battle of the Bands will include a “People’s Choice” award where the audience votes for their favorite band. The band with the most votes will receive a trophy.
Interested bands must submit a completed application, band photo, and CD with at least three tunes. Bands must also have three or more members and play their own instruments. All applications and materials must be submitted to the Fallbrook Community Center office no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 21.
The top bands will be invited to perform in front of an audience and be rated by a panel of judges on March 26.
In addition to enjoying great music, the community is invited to participate in other competitions at the Battle of the Bands event including ping pong, Guitar Hero and other games. Winners will receive gift certificates.
The Battle of the Bands is sponsored by Friends of Fallbrook Community Center, County of San Diego Parks and Recreation and Fallbrook/Bonsall Village News.
