Movies in the Park, the largest free movie event in our area, presents recent box office hits in a high-quality digital format on a 28-foot inflatable widescreen at several San Diego County Parks throughout the months of July, August and September.
“This is a great way to spend a weekend evening in a beautiful county park,” said Brian Albright, Director of the San Diego County Parks and Recreation Department.
Families can enjoy pre-movie activities including karaoke battles, games, music and contests. Participants are encouraged to bring a chair, blanket and refreshments. The movies begin at dusk.
Locations and movies scheduled for the month of July include:
- July 16: “The Tooth Fairy” at Spring Valley Park located on 8735 Jamacha Blvd. in Spring Valley
- July 17: “Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Squeakquel” at 4S Ranch Community Park on 16118 4S Ranch Parkway
- July 23: “Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Squeakquel” at Fallbrook Community Center on 341 Heald Lane in Fallbrook
- July 31: “Avatar” at Dos Picos County Park on 17953 Dos Picos Park Road
