Those who want to vote in the June 8 Election must register by May 24, and you can complete or drop off forms in person at the Registrar of Voters in Kearny Mesa until 8 p.m. Monday.
• Residents need to fill out a registration form if they are not currently registered, would like to change their party affiliation, have recently moved or changed their name. To check registration status and party affiliation, visit the Registrar of Voters’ website.
• Registration forms can now be completed on www.sdvote.com. Once the information is entered, the form must be printed, signed and submitted. Registration forms are also available at the Registrar of Voters office at 5201 Ruffin Road, Suite I, in Kearny Mesa, US Post Offices, public libraries, and Department of Motor Vehicles offices.
• All forms must be postmarked or delivered to the Registrar of Voters no later than 8 p.m., May 24.
For those who would like to vote by mail, applications are due by Tuesday, June 1. The form is available at www.sdvote.com, or on the back of the sample ballot and voter information pamphlet sent to each registered voter. You can also request a mail ballot by sending a note to the Registrar of Voters including your name, residence address, name and date of the election for which a ballot is requested, the address where the ballot is to be mailed, and your signature. By state law, applications must be physically received by the Registrar of Voters no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1. They cannot be simply postmarked on that date.
