Trailers, trucks, tractors, Tauruses and a Toyota Prius are among the items available to the highest bidder this Saturday, Feb. 5.
The County of San Diego Public Auction includes hundreds of vehicles, everything from motorcycles and sedans to a Sheriff's mobile command vehicle and a bookmobile.
The auction is being held at the Ramona Rodeo Grounds, 421 Aqua Lane in Ramona. The public and media are invited to preview auction items on Thursday, Feb. 3 and Friday, Feb. 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Photos of items for sale are available on the TNT Public Auction website. Bidding will start Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
The auction will feature items from numerous public agencies including County of San Diego, North County Transit District, Rancho Santa Fe Fire, Rancho Santa Fe Irrigation, San Marcos Unified School District, City of Coronado, Ramona Water District, National City, and other agencies. Proceeds from the auction will go back to the donating agency.
All items must be removed from the sales yard by Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 4:00 p.m. Payment is by cash or certified funds (i.e. cashiers check, money order, credit and debit cards). If a buyer chooses to use a credit card there will be a 3 percent credit card fee and a 1 percent fee for use of a debit card. There is a 10 percent buyer’s fee and current tax on purchases. A $60.00 Smog-check fee may apply on some vehicles and equipment.
