East County residents are invited to an open house Friday for the new San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency East County Public Health Center in El Cajon. The new regional public health center will provide a variety of services including TB and immunization clinics.
“The new health center location will provide an improved environment for the community to obtain the health services they need,” said Supervisor Dianne Jacob, San Diego County Board of Supervisors. “The clinic will help ensure the health needs of the East County residents are addressed.”
The new center is located at 460 North Magnolia Avenue, Suite 110. The open house will be held on Friday, May 6 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
The event will feature tours of the new facility, community resources, health information and the opportunity to meet and interact with the public health staff.
The facility will have a community conference room that will provide educational opportunities for San Diego State University School of Nursing students.
“The implementation of the County’s “Live Well, San Diego!” strategy starts with the front line staff at the County’s community clinics,” said Nick Macchione, Director of the County Health and Human Services Agency. “The East County Public Health Clinic staff will continue to keep the health and safety of the community as a top priority.”
“Live Well, San Diego!” is a 10-year plan to improve San Diegans' health, safety and well-being.
