The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency’s Aging and Independence Services and its community partners are seeking older adults to participate in two Intergenerational Games in the coming month.
The adult will be paired with a young person and together they will face a number of physical and mental challenges. All participants will receive a medal for taking part. Those wishing to participate in the event should register now. There is no cost.
East County is the site of the first Intergenerational Games, which will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at the La Mesa Middle School, 4200 Park, La Mesa. To register for this event or for more information, call (619) 464-0505.
The second Intergenerational Games is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, 2800 Olympic Parkway in Chula Vista. To register for this event or for more information, call (858) 495-5769 or e-mail diane.hunter@sdcounty.ca.gov.
