Parks Facility & Staff Earn Multiple State-wide Honors

The Department of Parks and Recreation was honored with numerous awards at the recently held 2008 California Parks and Recreation Society (CPRS) Conference held in February. The Miracle Field, the first Southern California baseball field designed to provide recreational opportunities for children with special needs, received the Award of Excellence for Facility Design. The Field opened in May 2007 and is located in San Dieguito Park.
