Five exemplary Public Works projects have been recognized by the San Diego Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
DPW’s recognized efforts included building a water quality basin in Lakeside; post-wildfire erosion control efforts throughout the county to protect homes and roads; improvements to Wildcat Canyon Road to increase safety for drivers and surrounding wildlife; widening of SR 54 and SR 94 in Rancho San Diego that included bike lanes in both directions; and provision of a flood control facility for a neighborhood in Bonita that will provide protection for 100 years.
