By County of San Diego Public Health Officer Wilma Wooten, M.D., M.P.H.
The County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency is working with state and federal health officials to continue monitoring the H1N1 virus in our county.
The public is our partner, and there are certain steps that you can take in the workplace to help prevent the spread of this disease.
- First and foremost, if you are sick, stay home.
- If you are at work and need to cough or sneeze, cover your mouth your sleeve or a tissue or your sleeve, and then throw the tissue away and wash your hands.
- Continue to wash your hands often with warm water and soap.
- Avoid touching objects and then touching your eyes, nose or mouth. This is how germs are spread.
