Slater-Price Awards Community Projects Grants
Grants Will Support Boys and Girls Club in Escondido, Fourth
of July in Rancho Bernardo
The San Diego County Board of Supervisors today approved
Chairwoman Pam Slater-Price's request to provide financial support to
various non-profit community organizations that provide services and manage
programs throughout the county. These programs include efforts to restore
the Rose Creek Watershed and control erosion and run-off problems at Ellen
Browning Scripps Park in La Jolla. The funds are allocated from the county's
Community Projects grant program.
"My district has a variety of civic, social, and environmental needs
that can never be completely met by government agencies," said Slater-Price.
"These grants allow non-profit organizations to take care of those
needs at the community-level."
Among the organizations that will receive funds are:
- Boys and Girls Club of Escondido: $50,000 for a new outdoor basketball
court at their Baker Branch.

This grant will help create and implement a collaborative civic, business,

Assessment beyond the current Phase One planning stage.
