Public parking is available in the new south parking garage at the County Administration Center. Entrance to the parking garage is on Ash Street between Pacific Highway and Harbor Drive. In the event public parking is full, you may park in metered spaces around the CAC and areas between North Harbor Drive and the San Diego Bay, and along Pacific Highway or at any of the paid parking lots nearby.
Temporary parking permits are required only for visits longer than three (3) hours. These temporary parking passes are generally not necessary for Civil Service Commission meetings,which generally are shorter than three hours.
Civil Service Commission hearings usually last longer than three hours. Commission staff will coordinate the distribution of temporary parking permits to the parties in hearings. Others attending hearings may obtain temporary parking permits in Room 411.
Please allow more time to arrive at meetings/hearings while construction at the County Administration Center is under way.
