The Board heard presentations
from various government and social service agency representatives;
including Health & Human Services Agency, Polinsky Children's
Center, New Alternatives, Inc, Sheriff's Department, & North
County Foster Parent Association.
ON MOTION of Supervisor
Horn, seconded by Supervisor Jacob, the Board of Supervisors; directed
the Chief Administrative Officer to look for funds to sustain and
expand The Child Assessment Network (CAN), and present recommendations
for discussion in December, 2001.
