COUNTYWIDE SUNRISE REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY PLANNED FOR SEPT. 11TH

SAN DIEGO - The County of San Diego will hold
a Sunrise Remembrance Ceremony on September 11th
to honor the thousands of lives that were lost as a result
of the terrorist attacks on our nation last September. The
public is invited to attend.

The ceremony will begin at 6:30 a.m. on the east steps of the
County Administration Building, 1600 Pacific Highway in downtown San Diego. As part of the event, the United States flag will be lowered to halfstaff in memory of the victims.

Whether or not you are able to attend the ceremony or any of the other ceremonies planned throughout the region that day, Board of Supervisors Chairman Ron Roberts is encouraging all San Diego County residents to wear red, white and blue on September 11th as a show of national pride.

In addition, Chairman Roberts has announced that beginning Monday September 9th, American flag lapel pins will be available free of charge at all 32 County branch libraries. The branches are located in:
