SAN DIEGO - Supervisor Bill Horn announced today that the Pilot Program bringing Grading Permit Applications on-line was a success. In August of 1998 Supervisor Horn proposed the concept to the County Board of Supervisors with the intention of making the permit process more user friendly.
"I am ecstatic that doing business on the Internet is expanding at the County," replied Horn. "Government doing e-business will help provide better, cheaper and faster County services, making us more e-fficient."
San Diego is on the cutting-edge and a model to other counties nationwide, leading the way with Internet services. The new Grading Permit process is under construction and currently not on-line, but the revamped improved edition should be available to County customers in the next five months.
