Supervisor Bill Horn will announce his strategy to rid the roads of drunk drivers along with members of the San Diego County Sheriffs Department, California Highway Patrol, MADD, AAA and other local law enforcement agencies at a press conference Thursday, June 15, 2000.
San Diego County’s latest Public Service Announcements, two PSAs featuring Supervisor Horn and Sheriff Bill Kolender, chronicle an episode in which a young lady realizes the consequences involved when people drink and drive. The PSAs will be handed out to the media at the Press Conference.
The North County Traffic Safety Council will also be presented with a check for $40,000 from Supervisor Horn for a new DUI Trailer. The Council provides the community with traffic stops and check points and has been successful with reducing drunk driving on North County roads.
