Whether it is fire protection, border enforcement, or tracking sex offenders, Jeff brings over 10 years of County government experience to Supervisor Jacob’s continued work on improving the safety of the region. Jeff also advises on issues involving the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO), where Supervisor Jacob has been leading the effort to consolidate the County’s fractured system of fire protection agencies. Jeff also handles tribal affairs, which is no small task considering there are 11 Indian reservations and six casinos in the Second District. Jeff’s other policy areas includes general services, information technology, Treasurer/Tax Collector, Auditor/Controller, community enhancement funds and military issues. Jeff is a graduate of the University of San Diego, with a degree in political science. He and his wife Ana live in the community of Bay Park and in his free time, he enjoys hockey, golf and hiking.
