Marilu loves her career in public service. As the Second District’s administrative assistant, Marilu provides staff support by fielding constituent calls, coordinating response letters and tracking District appointments to various boards, commissions and committees. Marilu is often the first person that constituents come into contact with, and it is a role she enjoys a great deal. She loves meeting constituents on the phone and truly cares about their concerns. Prior to joining Supervisor Jacob’s staff, Marilu worked as the bookkeeper for the Oceanaire Seafood Room where she oversaw payroll, personnel and audited daily sales. She was part of Petco Park’s inaugural year’s staff as Cox Communications/Channel 4 San Diego’s luxury suite host and she just completed her fourth baseball season with Cox. She spends her days off with her family and especially values time with her four nephews and three nieces. Marilu likes to travel, enjoys cooking, watching baseball, learning new things, art, fashion design and music.
