The San Diego County Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measures operates an information line on bees that can be reached toll-free from within San Diego County. You can leave a message requesting written information or a return call. When calling the hotline, please keep in mind:

  • We will return your call or mail you the requested material by the end of the next business day.

  • This is not an emergency line. If you have an emergency where someone has been stung and needs medical attention, hang up and dial 911.

  • We do not remove bees from private property. If you need assistance in removing bees, we recommend that you contact a licensed pest control company to perform this service. Attempting to remove the bees yourself can be dangerous and may cause you and others to be stung.
