The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is committed to provide consistently excellent service and support to the Board of Supervisors and the people we serve in an efficient and friendly manner.
The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors acts as the administrative head of the department and performs duties as provided in the Government Code and formal orders of the Board of Supervisors. He serves as the administrative officer of four Assessment Appeals Boards, as filing officer for economic disclosure statements, Deputy Secretary of the County Housing Authority, Clerk of the Air Pollution Control Board, and various other special districts and committees.
The department administers the Board General Office and manages over $12 million of budgets and trust accounts as well as the 18-acre County Administration Center (CAC), a designated federal historic landmark, which includes over 360,600 square feet of building space. Five program areas are included within the department: Executive Office, Public Services, Legislative Services, and CAC Facilities Services, and CAC Major Maintenance.
