Mission Statement

The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors Department
is committed to provide consistently excellent service
and support to the Board of Supervisors and
the people we serve in
an efficient and friendly manner.

Department Head

The Executive Officer acts as an administrative head of the department and serves as Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. The Executive Officer serves as administrative officer of the four Assessment Appeals Boards which sit as boards of equalization for San Diego County. He is the filing officer for economic disclosure statements which are filed in accordance with the Political Reform Act of 1974. The Executive Officer also serves as Clerk of the Air Pollution Control Hearing Board and Air Pollution Control District Hearing Board, five Sanitation Districts (Alpine, Julian, Lakeside, Pine Valley, and Spring Valley ) and the County Flood Control District, the County Redevelopment Authority. The Executive Officer acts as the permanent secretary and recording officer of the San Diego County City Selection Committee.
