Preliminary Site Assessment Inspector

This document has been developed to provide consistent procedures for the assessment and remediation of clandestine Meth manufacturing sites within San Diego County.

Since clandestine labs for the production of other drugs are not commonly found in this area, this document is purposely limited to Meth. This information is to be used by property owners and remediation consultants to help them develop and implement an appropriate remediation strategy, and by San Diego County authorities to evaluate work plans and assessments in a manner consistent with best available practices.

The Site Assessment and Mitigation Program of the Land and Water Quality Division reviews work plans, assessments, and remediation documents for Meth lab cases. Please contact Ewan Moffat at 619-338-2212 for questions regarding assessment and remediation of Meth lab sites.
