The federal SPCC compliance deadline for California's APSA-regulated facilities has arrived. As of November 10, 2011, the Hazardous Materials Division (HMD) is fully enforcing all applicable APSA rules and regulations.
As a reminder, as part of the CUPA program inspection, HMD conducts detailed APSA inspections for facilities with a with a total storage capacity of 10,000 gallons or more of petroleum using the HMD APSA Inspection Checklist HMD-950. In general, for facilities with less than 10,000 gallon capacity of petroleum, the routine CUPA program inspection will include verification of a current SPCC plan.
