The Plan Check and Construction unit is responsible for reviewing the plans of new public swimming pools and existing public pools that are being renovated.
One set of new, legible plans and specifications must be submitted for initial review. Once the initial set of plans have been reviewed, then four sets of plans must be resubmitted for final written approval.
FHD does not review plans for residential swimming pools and spas. For residential pool construction requirements, refer to the Swimming Pool Safety Act section of the California Health & Safety Code.
