Vapor Risk 2000 Update

The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) adopted a cancer slope factor for naphthalene in 2004 and for ethylbenzene in 2008. Since naphthalene and ethylbenzene are present in most petroleum fuels, SAM requires risk evaluation for these contaminants, in addition to others identified in the Vapor Risk 2000 model, at all fuel release sites where they have been detected. In addition to the aforementioned modifications, several reference doses have been updated as applicable.
