UPCOMING MEETINGS:

Project Update

The General Plan Update is currently working on Drafting the Regional Elements, outlined in our Project Schedule.  Technical review has begun on a few of the General Plan Update's Draft Elements. 

Environmental Impact Report Update

Three of the Land Use Alternatives have been completed; the Draft Land Use Map, Referral Map and the Hybrid Map.  Furthermore, the Environmentally Superior Alternative is nearly complete.  Modeling of these Alternatives has been initiated, and they can be viewed on our website under the Proposed Land Use Alternatives.

Community Meetings

General Plan Update staff will be giving updates to each Community Planning and Sponsor Group from January to April 2008.  The times and dates are located on our Website.

Hybrid Map Corrections

There have been mapping corrections in six communities for the Hybrid Map. These updated maps are located on our website in the Proposed Land Use Alternatives section.  The communities affected are Alpine, Mountain Empire Balance, North Mountain, Valley Center, Fallbrook and Pala-Pauma. 

Website Update

Recently posted on General Plan Update website is a version of the Draft Referral Map with references to our Mapping Comparison Table.  This version highlights differences between the Draft Referral Map and Draft Land Use Maps, and was a tool used in the development of the Hybrid Map. The table shows the land use designations for each area in the Existing General Plan, Draft Referral Map, Hybrid Map and Draft Land Use Map.  Additionally the table provides a brief description of each site.
