Home improvement tools.Home improvement such as household cleaning supplies, paints, plasters and dry wall mud materials are among the many common stormwater pollutants that can degrade water quality.  Many products used during home remodeling projects contain chemicals that are harmful to wildlife and humans.  Even water soluble latex paints contain chemicals that are harmful to aquatic life and drinking water.  If not properly managed, these wastes can cause toxic changes to our environment.  Other example of pollutants are dry wall, cement, thinners, adhesives, sealers, clean-up water, and wastes generated from surface preparation, such as paint chips and scraping waste.
