Cooperative Extension is part of the University of California's Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources. It provides a direct, personal link between Californians in rural and urban areas and the teaching, research and public service activities for the University, extending the University's great resources of research and knowledge to the homes, communities, and farms of the State.
Cooperative Extension in California is a unique three-way partnership of the U.S. Department of Agriculture at the Federal level, the University at the State level, and the County government at the Local level. The heart of the system is the Cooperative Extension County Office.
University advisors are the most important link in the Cooperative Extension system. They extract from research the useful and practical information of a wide range of subjects and extend it to people in agriculture and commerce, consumers, homemakers, educators, youth groups, researchers and others. Educational programs are conducted through individual consultations, publications, seminars, field days, and mass media. Cooperative Extension has worked for over 85 years to improve the quality of life for people throughout the county.

Our office does not remove bees from private property. We suggest homeowners contact a local pest control company to safely remove the bees. It is not recommended that homeowners try to remove bees themselves.
