AWARD WINNING FACILITIES SERVICE
The County of San Diego, Department of General Services has been identified as one of nine CCFSA “Award of Excellence” recipients along with six other counties and two cities selected to receive awards for 2007.
The California Counties Facilities Service Association (CCFSA) annually presents “Award Of Excellence”. This award represents exceptional dedication to Facilities excellence via, best practices, process innovation, staff development and department automation. It also recognizes outstanding organizational leadership in the maintenance and life cycle extension of California public facilities.
There are thirty one specific criteria assessed for award eligibility which include, customer service/communication, a centralized work order system,
preventive maintenance programs, contracting/in house cost comparisons, certification/education/staff training and development, CINA/CIP programs
and facility condition assessments.
