The County of San Diego is actively seeking gifts and donations to fund public projects and services that will improve the quality of life for all San Diego County residents. It is impossible for the County, or any public agency for that matter, to fund every worthwhile project and your assistance is needed. Without the generous support of many San Diego County residents countless County projects, programs, and services might be curtailed for a lack of funding.
The Real Estate Services Division is responsible for coordinating the gift and donation of real estate and tangible real property assets to the County. This Division works with prospective donors, estate planners, and estate attorneys to assure that the donor’s desires are met and that the proceeds of the sale or the revenue generated by the gifted property or other asset is directed to the project or program designated by the donor. Donations of real estate to be used specifically for Parks and Open Space or a designated County program should be free of any monetary encumbrances and must be approved by the benefiting department or agency.
If you are considering any gift or donation please contact the Real Estate Services Division at (858) 694-2291 to obtain more information.
