CCYF Forums, Conferences, Training's and Events
As the local child abuse council, the Commission is mandated to provide conferences and training to professionals in the detection, treatment, and prevention of child abuse and neglect. The Commission sponsors at least four community forums and/or conferences a year on a quarterly basis. Topics are based on current issues in the county relating to children and youth, and their families.
2012 San Diego Parenting Conference

The Commission on Children, Youth and Families will host its Annual Parenting Conference this year focusing on community parenting issues and healthy families. The Parenting Conference will focus on a variety of interactive parenting skills development sessions for children birth to 18 years, with a heavy emphasis on children's needs ages 0- 5 years. This Conference will assist parents in finding answers and solutions to common parenting challenges.
The event will be held from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm and will offer each attendee two 1.5 hour sessions and a keynote session.
