"Gone But Not Forgotten" by La Vista Memorial Park and Public Administrator/Public Guardian

The Public Administrator also serves as the County's Indigent Burial Officer. The Indigent Burial Program pays for the disposition of bodies of deceased County residents whose estate cannot provide for a burial.

To qualify for Indigent Burial, the deceased must meet the following criteria:

1. They have no estate from which to pay the cost of a funeral
2. They have no family who can afford providing the service
3. They are not eligible for burial assistance from the Social Security Administration or Veterans Administration.
