Tuberculosis Control Program

For more information send us an email or phone 619-692-5565.

The Tuberculosis (TB) Control Program detects, controls and prevents the spread of TB in our community through treatment, case management, contact investigation and education. We invite you to explore our site to learn more about the program and the services we offer.

Services offered by Tuberculosis Control Program:

Please note:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), in order to maintain and accelerate the decline towards TB elimination, are directing communities to focus TB efforts on high-risk populations.

Therefore, TB services are not provided for individuals with health insurance. Insured individuals should visit their doctor. TB testing may also be available at community health centers, walk-in clinics and pharmacies. Individuals without health insurance will be assessed for eligibility based on risk for tuberculosis.
