California Children Services, a program administered by the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, partnered with California State University San Marcos to host a "first-of-its-kind" recreation and wellness event that served children and young adults with special needs in North County. Event Information
The event was held at California State University, San Marcos, on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, 3-7 pm. The event featured multiple exhibitors, demonstrations, hands-on activities, give-aways and so much more! To view the event flyer, click on this Rec Expo North Flyer link.
Event Goal
Provide a comprehensive exposition of recreation and wellness services to families and their children with special needs and the professionals that work with them. The goal was to promote physical and mental health and fitness for the special needs population, particularly those in the North San Diego County area. The exposition included equipment vendors, representatives of recreation facilities, camp facilities and organizations.
