 About CAP

The Community Action Partnership (CAP) is administratively located under the Health and Human Services Agency, Strategic Planning and Operational Support of the County of San Diego. CAP is the federally designated Community Action Agency and administers the Community Services Block Grant for the San Diego region.

CAP's Vision as a Community Action Agency is that:

"Community action changes people's lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities, and makes America a better place to live. We care about the entire community and we are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other."

CAP's Mission:

"To empower economically disadvantaged individuals and families to achieve their highest level of self-sufficiency and well-being."

Join the Community Action Board (CAB), which advises the San Diego County Board of Supervisors and the Health and Human Services Agency concerning Community Action Partnership anti-poverty programs.  The CAB meets once a month.  An application is available by clicking the link below or by calling (619) 338-2799 for questions.   Your community needs you!
