How to Complete the Quarterly Eligibility/Status Report (QR 7)

The Quarterly Eligibility/Status Report QR 7, also known as the QR 7 is a form all recipients of CalWORKs (cash aid) and some CalFresh households must complete, sign and send to the County, along with verifications, every quarter in order to maintain eligibility to CalWORKs and/or CalFresh.

New State Law Rules In CalWORKs for Fiscal Year 2012-2013

There are new rules in the CalWORKs program that may change your cash aid:

  • Expiration of Short Term Exemption - Assembly Bill (AB) X4 4 as of December 31, 2012
  • Reengagement in Welfare-To-Work of Clients Whose Short Term Exemption Ended
  • New one-time exemption for work-eligible with a child two years old or younger
  • Implementation of the Annual Reporting/Child Only (AR/CO) System
  • Implementation of the CalWORKs WTW 24-Month Time Clock
  • Alignment of Welfare-To-Work Participation Hours to Federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Requirements
  • Restoration of the Cal-Learn Program

  • Implementation of the Semi-Annual Reporting System
  • Restoration of the $225 Earned Income Disregard
