Healthy San Diego is a program to inform persons on Medi-Cal about their health care choices. It reaches thousands of people each month who apply for or renew their benefits. Presentations, called Health Care Options Orientations are provided at Family Resource Centers (FRC's) throughout the county.

About Healthy San Diego
State law requires most people on Medi-Cal to join a health plan. This means that they enroll in a plan that coordinates their medical services. The Healthy San Diego program includes consumer and community stakeholders who work on local managed care issues. For assistance in choosing a Healthy San Diego provider/doctor:
- View the Health Plan Comparison chart, Your Health Plan Choices or Opciones para Escoger un Plan de Salud for information on the Healthy San Diego Health Plans and the benefits they offer.
- You can search for nearby health care providers who accept Medi-Cal with characteristics you specify or look for a specific provider by name using the On-line Provider Directory, the GeoAcess link.
