Digital Magazines Now Available
at SDCL
San Diego County Library is partnering with Zinio, the world's largest digital magazine service, to give you access to hundreds of free, full color, interactive digital magazines online with your library card.

Cardholders may browse collections of popular titles with no holds, no checkout periods, and no limit to the number of downloadable magazines.

Forbes,
Us Weekly, and
Rolling Stone.
Spring Valley Fiesta
To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, Spring Valley is hosting its 9th annual Fiesta on September 27 from 1-4 p.m. There will be a live DJ, entertainment, community information booths, prizes, giveaways, laser tag, video games, face painting, and much more! This is a free event, but parking is limited.
Changes to
Library Requests
Effective August 1, all items requested by customers will be held at the branch for 7 days. Customers will receive notifications via email or telephone the day that their item arrives at the branch, Monday-Friday.
  
California Reads is a reading and discussion series designed to promote civic dialogue and meaningful conversation related to theme "War Comes Home."
  
SDCL branches across the county will be participating in California Reads, with various book discussions, guest speakers, related movie screenings, craft programs, and other programs being offered from September through November 2014.
