Programs:

Residents of all ages will find that the Lakeside Community Center is a fun place to be. Here’s a brief list of some of the programs, activities, and classes we offer. Check back frequently, since we’re constantly improving our calendar.

For youth, we feature the following:

Preschool- A Child's Center of Wonder and Discovery: A program for children who need the preschool experience but do not need a full day care. Provides a stress-free fun environment for children to stimulate their minds, encourage them to explore and experiment, and instill a love of learning!
Gymtrix: For youth ages 3 and up, the opportunity to learn gymnastics, tap dance, dance, and cheerleading from beginning levels to advanced
Cheerleading: For ages 5 and up
REC Club: An after-school program for middle and high school students. Provides a safe environment that includes tutoring for homework, fitness, mentoring, field trips, and health education. This is a Critical Hours Program.
Martial arts:
American Youth Outreach Karate: ages 5 and up
Pacific Martial Arts: ages 5 and up
Tang So Do Korean Karate: a formal, serious class
Adults and seniors will likewise find plenty of interesting activities at the community center:

Art: Low cost classes include arts and crafts, oil painting, drawing, watercolor, and quilting
Exercise: A low-cost, low-impact class for adults and seniors
Yoga: Classes three days a week, morning and evening
55 Alive Driver Training: A class for seniors that will help get lower insurance rates
Square dancing: Every Friday night at 6:30
Senior lunch program: A daily nutritional program run through the Salvation Army, it has a $2 suggested donation. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, bingo is played prior to lunch being served.
