There are many miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails in the County's parks and open space preserves. Some trails offer simple strolls along placid streams; others take you over rugged mountains and isolated valleys. In fact, we offer one of the most diverse trail systems in the nation.
Experience San Diego County Trails, a new, comprehensive trail brochure, is now available. A brief description of the trails in nearly 30 parks and preserves offers an exciting variety of trails experiences. Whichever trail you choose, you're sure to enjoy your outdoor adventure on a County park trail.
The full-color brochure is available online in PDF format on this page, and is available in our parks.

Note: On January 12, 2005, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the adoption of the County Trails Program and the Community Trails Master Plan (CTMP). The County Trails Program will be utilized to develop a system of interconnected regional and community trails and pathways. For more information on the County Trails Program, go to this page.
